SUB ROSA was founded 1992 in Split, Croatia by a man with a vision, Mr. Renato Miočić. Wanting to move forward with his vision, he established a small car rental company in Croatia.

In January of 1999, Sub Rosa rental car signed a sublicense agreement with AVIS , which was the milestone of our company´s growth.

In March 2004, we signed a Car Rental licence agreement for Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and Montenegro with two highly recognized vehicle rental brands – Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental which allow us to expand our business in Croatia,Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro.

Today, because of our focus on exceptional customer service and convenience, Sub Rosa d.o.o. Dollar / Thrifty car hire has become one of the largest car rental companies in Croatia and mentioned countries with car rental locations in all major cities and airports and a large fleet with the most diverse and best equipped cars.

In terms of business ethics, we believe it is in the interest of our customers, and our employees that we maintain a highly acceptable public image supporting a progressively profitable.
